2020 Oz Minerals / Playford Trust Honours Scholarship
Since graduating with Honours in 2020, I’ve gained experience across two different industries, each with a shared focus: exploration. Following my student position, I worked as an Exploration Geologist with OZ Minerals and later BHP, which involved searching for primarily copper and nickel deposits around Australia, balancing fieldwork with in-depth data analysis.
In late 2023, I joined Fleet Space Technologies with the aim of helping to accelerate the discovery of critical mineral deposits all over the world to address global challenges. We are rapidly developing advanced geophysical- and AI-driven exploration techniques utilising our satellites.
As a Geological Client Manager, I work directly with exploration companies to help translate our products into practical exploration tools. We specialise in a technique called Ambient Noise Tomography and have built custom sensors for this, including a variant for the Moon called SPIDER, which will be launched in 2026.
Outside of work, I’m an active advocate for the wider resources industry, often speaking or presenting to university students and early career professionals. I’m also passionate about encouraging high school kids to consider careers in STEM, especially Geoscience.
