Royal Agricultural & Horticultural Society of SA
When South Australia was a fledgling colony, the Royal Agricultural & Horticultural Society of SA (RA&HS) was founded to provide primary producers with a platform to share knowledge, improve practices and showcase their work, helping to strengthen agriculture and horticulture as a foundation of the state’s prosperity.
Today, as a not-for-profit organisation with a proud history spanning more than 185-years, the RA&HS still plays a unique and vital role in the fabric of South Australian life, existing to champion agriculture and horticulture, strengthen communities and create meaningful connections between city and country.
Through the iconic Royal Adelaide Show, Royal Adelaide Wine Awards and a variety of year-round education programs, competitions and community initiatives, the RA&HS brings people together to celebrate excellence, support industry, and inspire future generations.
