Philip Laffer AM Royal Adelaide Wine Awards
Playford Trust Bursary
The Playford Trust, in partnership with the Royal Agricultural & Horticultural Society of SA and The Royal Adelaide Wine Awards Committee, offers a bursary to support the continued growth and prosperity of the South Australian wine industry.
The one-year bursary is valued at $5000 and is offered to support a student undertaking undergraduate or postgraduate study in viticulture or oenology at a South Australian university, helping create meaningful pathways for further study, research and professional advancement.
Funds can be applied for broader purposes than offsetting tuition fees (at the discretion of the Royal Agricultural & Horticultural Society and its Wine Committee). Purposes may include relevant conference attendance, research project support, travel for relevant purposes etc.
The bursary honours Philip Laffer AM and his significant contribution to the Royal Agricultural & Horticultural Society of South Australia (RA&HS). Throughout his career, Philip maintained a passionate interest in education and research across the grape and wine sector and continues his involvement with RA&HS as an Honorary Councillor.
