Our Partnership with The Andy Thomas Space Foundation

The Andy Thomas Space Foundation was launched in Adelaide in 2020 to support space-related education and training in Australia and to conduct industry events.

The Foundation and associated sponsors support a suite of scholarships across the education spectrum, from primary to post-graduate levels.

The Foundation, which honours the first Australian citizen to become a NASA astronaut*, Adelaide-born and educated Andy Thomas, also stages the bi-annual Australian Space Forum, and is a bidder for the 2024 International Astronautical Congress.

*Fellow Australian Paul Scully-Power preceded Andy Thomas but had become an American citizen by the time of his space mission.
