First Year
Playford Trust STEM Scholarships
The Playford Trust seeks to support outstanding students from either rural & regional or metropolitan South Australia commencing as undergraduates to study science, engineering, mathematics or technology (STEM) subjects at one of the State’s two public universities.
Six awards of $5000 each are available for students entering the first year of their university course. Four scholarships will be available to students from rural and regional South Australia and two scholarships will be available to students from the metropolitan area.
These special scholarships will be awarded to high achieving students who may need to overcome the practical and financial disadvantages associated with undertaking their studies.
Applications for 2026 have now closed.
