Dr Leanna Read, FAICD, FTSE

Dr Leanna Read is Chair and Managing Director of the CRC for Cell Therapy Manufacturing (CTM CRC) as well as Chair of CTM CRC’s two spin-out companies: Carina Biotech Pty Ltd and TekCyte Pty Ltd.

Leanna recently finished her four-year term as South Australia’s Chief Scientist.  She also brings extensive experience on boards that address innovation across government, industry and academic sectors, including 11 years as a member of the SA Government’s Economic Development Board.  She was previously Chief Executive Officer of the CRC for Tissue Growth and Repair, and then Managing Director of the CRC’s spin-out biotechnology company: TGR BioSciences Pty Ltd.

Leanna is an AICD Fellow and Fellow of the Australian Academy of Technology and Engineering.  Leanna has been a board member of the Playford Trust since 2014.
