HONOURS SCHOLARSHIP
HILLGROVE RESOURCES
PLAYFORD TRUST
The Playford Trust is delighted to continue its partnership with Hillgrove Resources Limited to offer a Honours/4th year scholarship in Mineral Sciences. This single $7,000 scholarship will be open to students proceeding into Honours Geology, Environmental Sciences, fourth year Mining Engineering or Chemical Engineering at any one of the three South Australian universities. Preference will be given to students who undertake a project nominated by Hillgrove. Hillgrove will also offer the selected student an opportunity to work at their mine site over the summer vacation period to make a start on the selected project.
Hillgrove is a listed Australian mining company (ASX:HGO) focused on operating its Australian copper mine and Indonesian base and precious metals projects. The Company’s flagship development is the Kanmantoo Copper Mine located 55 km from Adelaide.
Hillgrove strives to have local landowners and communities benefit from the company’s presence and has established a tradition of supporting South Australian universities and their mining related courses through student project work.

Selection Criteria
A panel with representatives from the Playford Trust and Hillgrove Resources will make the final selection. The panel’s decision will be based on an assessment of the following:
- Students are South Australian residents who are likely to spend a significant part of their career in South Australia or are otherwise likely to provide a benefit to the State.
- Students are high achievers with an excellent undergraduate academic record.
- Students are of good character and with preference given to students who display leadership potential.
