Professor Stuart Roy
Stuart is professor within the School of Agriculture, Food and Wine at Adelaide University. Within the School, he serves as Program Director for the Bachelor of Agricultural Science degree and leads the Student Experience portfolio.
Stuart’s research is focused on delivering translational, industry-oriented outcomes that support the adaptation of agricultural crops in Australia and globally to future climate conditions. His work encompasses the development of new technologies and the generation of novel plant and crop materials for use by breeders, researchers, and growers. He is deeply committed to the education and training of the next generation of leaders in agriculture.
Stuart serves as the Deputy Director (Industry) for the ARC Industrial Transformation Training Centre for Accelerated Future Crop Development and is a member of the management committee for Plant SynBio Australia. He previously directed the ARC Industrial Transformation Research Hub for Wheat in a Hot and Dry Environment and was a member of the senior executive group of the Australian Centre for Plant Functional Genomics.
