Welcome to the Playford Trust

Providing prestigious scholarships for high-achieving South Australians.

The Playford Trust works with Government, tertiary and further education institutions, industry and the community in supporting South Australians to develop the research and skills base required to advance areas of strategic importance for the State of South Australia.

The future of the Trust relies on donations and the development of business partnerships.

The organisation has been operating for 25 years following a resolution by the South Australian Government to establish a Trust to perpetuate the memory of Sir Thomas Playford, the State’s longest serving Premier.
