Partnering with leading resources companies and the South Australian Government, the Playford Trust is delighted to offer up to 20, two-year scholarships for students enrolling in mining and petroleum engineering at The University of Adelaide in 2021.

This joint initiative, which will run for five years, recognises the growing demand for engineering expertise in these key areas of the national resources industry.

For each scholarship funded by industry, the South Australian Government will provide one of equal value. Each student will receive a total of $20,000 over the two years.

The aim is to attract South Australia’s most talented minds to an industry that is leading our technological future.

The scholarships are administered by the Playford Trust, which, for almost 40 years, has supported high-achieving tertiary students studying in areas of strategic importance to the State.

Applications for the 2021 scholarships will open shortly. Contact us at to register your interest and subscribe to our newsletter here to receive updates.

Applications will close 22 January 2021.
