REGIONAL SCIENCE & ENGINEERING
The Playford Trust seeks to assist outstanding students from regional South Australia who intend to enrol as an undergraduate to study science, engineering, mathematics or technology subjects at one of the three South Australian universities.
Six awards of $4,000 each are available for students entering the first year of their university course. These special scholarships are directed to promising students who have to overcome the practical and financial disadvantages associated with having their home base located in regional South Australia.
The intention is to assist students with the additional expenses involved in studying in Adelaide, and who are away from the usual level of family support.
Applications close Friday 18 January 2018.
Students should address each of the selection criteria and seek comments about their achievements, character and leadership potential from a teacher or a school referee such as the Principal, Assistant Principal or Co-ordinator to complete the application. Disclosure of any other awards or scholarships held by the student is required.
